In the fall of 2020, after a year full of oddities, firsts, one of which was being more involved as a fan of K-Pop, Beyond Live concerts, and more time available for private projects. Thus, the concept for this website hatched.
What was the catalyst, some may ask? Something was trending on social media concerning SuperM, NCT127, or another group. Once again, people spreading hate and engaging in cancel culture. Their behavior based only on suspicion and rumors. At that moment, I identified the opportunity, had a deep desire to share my thoughts, address what I find inappropriate and uninformed fan behavior. But overall, the principal goal, to be a positive influence in the fandom.
Brainstorming a name for my pursuit was the next step. For once something has a name, the idea is tangible, "real."
It is easy to fall into the black hole of perfectionism while attempting to select the perfect name. I have researched in the past, defining what makes for a good business name. Key points a name must fulfill, memorable, easy to find on the internet, but nothing so obscure people can't remember your name. Overcoming my perfectionist mindset, I settled on simplicity. At its core, my concept is to frame and share logical, reasonable, respectful thoughts with other fans. This led to the idea of "sane."
Additionally, I want to provide a welcoming environment for like-minded individuals. Those of us who don't identify with the traditional sense of the word "fan." Here we can engage with each other and find solace, knowing we are not alone.
